Common issues

Reviews aren't triggering on my PRs
  1. Confirm the GitHub App is installed on the specific repository (GitHub Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps).
  2. Check that the App has read access to pull requests and code.
  3. Open a new PR or push a new commit to trigger a fresh run.
  4. Check the Checks tab on the PR for any error output.
The check run is stuck in 'queued' or 'in progress'
  1. Wait up to 5 minutes — large diffs take longer to process.
  2. If it's been over 10 minutes, the run may have hit an error. Email hello@mistystep.io with your repo name and PR number.
Reviews stopped and I'm on a paid plan
  1. Check your monthly quota in GitHub Marketplace (your account → Billing → Marketplace apps).
  2. Quota resets at the start of each billing cycle. Upgrade to a higher plan for immediate restoration.
  3. If your quota shows as available but reviews still aren't triggering, email us.
I want to dismiss a FAIL verdict and merge anyway
  1. Repository admins can dismiss required status checks directly from the PR checks section.
  2. In your branch protection rules, you can mark the Cerberus check as optional rather than required if you prefer non-blocking mode.
I need to uninstall or pause Cerberus Cloud
  1. Uninstall: GitHub Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps → Cerberus Cloud → Configure → Uninstall.
  2. To pause billing: cancel the Marketplace subscription. The App will stop processing new reviews immediately.
