Common issues
Reviews aren't triggering on my PRs↓
- Confirm the GitHub App is installed on the specific repository (GitHub Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps).
- Check that the App has read access to pull requests and code.
- Open a new PR or push a new commit to trigger a fresh run.
- Check the Checks tab on the PR for any error output.
The check run is stuck in 'queued' or 'in progress'↓
- Wait up to 5 minutes — large diffs take longer to process.
- If it's been over 10 minutes, the run may have hit an error. Email hello@mistystep.io with your repo name and PR number.
Reviews stopped and I'm on a paid plan↓
- Check your monthly quota in GitHub Marketplace (your account → Billing → Marketplace apps).
- Quota resets at the start of each billing cycle. Upgrade to a higher plan for immediate restoration.
- If your quota shows as available but reviews still aren't triggering, email us.
I want to dismiss a FAIL verdict and merge anyway↓
- Repository admins can dismiss required status checks directly from the PR checks section.
- In your branch protection rules, you can mark the Cerberus check as optional rather than required if you prefer non-blocking mode.
I need to uninstall or pause Cerberus Cloud↓
- Uninstall: GitHub Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps → Cerberus Cloud → Configure → Uninstall.
- To pause billing: cancel the Marketplace subscription. The App will stop processing new reviews immediately.
